Maheen Baber is a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She specializes in IP preparation and prosecution. She has multiple years of experience prosecuting patent applications in the software and mechanical arts. Her engineering background provides her with an understanding of client’s technologies and enables her to effectively and efficiently provide a wide range of patent procurement services. Ms. Baber also leverages her experience to develop strategies for acquiring and protecting intellectual property.
Prior to forming her own firm Ms. Baber worked with boutique law firms in Chicago managing all aspects of their patent prosecution needs in the mechanical and software fields, as well as related to the chemical and biotech arts. In between these positions, Ms. Baber has also worked independently with small businesses, consulting and assisting them with regards to their trademark requirements. Prior to law school, she gained valuable experience working with a multi-national Pharmaceutical Company as a Validation Engineer in their diagnostic division.
In her spare time, Ms. Baber chooses to serve as a mentor at various tech incubators and assists up and coming tech firms with their intellectual property requirements.
